7 – Título: Sem título

A obra é composta por 4 pinturas distintas que ocupam 2 paredes:

– A primeira é uma homenagem a todas as mulheres e, não retratando nenhuma raça em específico, o artista optou por usar o azul como cor predominante;

– A segunda (muito confundida como sendo uma homenagem aos bombeiros), retrata os combatentes da grande guerra. No ano do centenário da entrada de Portugal na 1ª Guerra Mundial e, junto à Rua dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra, o artista tentou representar esse episódio triste da nossa história e fazer uma pequena homenagem a todos os que lá perderam a vida;

– A terceira representa aquela zona da cidade, conhecida como Relvão. O nome vem de há muito tempo atrás, quando a então vila era ainda muito pequena, não havendo casas naquela área, sendo uma zona bastante pantanosa e verde, com poucas árvores e a maioria delas morta. Para dar um pouco mais de cor a essa pintura e uma vez que o “balonismo” também visita a cidade de tempos a tempos, o artista colocou um balão de ar quente;

– Na parede oposta foi pintado aquele que é um dos principais símbolos da cidade de Ponte de Sor e que lhe dá o nome: a ponte. Pintou os choupos ao fundo e fez questão de colocar o cedro de 300 anos (dizia-se) que teve de ser cortado aquando do alargamento da ponte e que estava mesmo ao lado da fonte.

Ali, houve ainda espaço para pintar a Magali que é um bulldog francês que mora nessa mesma casa onde foi feita a pintura.

7 – Title: Sem título

The work consists of 4 different paintings that occupy 2 walls:

– The first is a tribute to all women and, not portraying any specific race, the artist chose to use blue as the predominant color;

– The second (very confused as a tribute to firefighters), depicts the combatants of the great war. In the centenary year of Portugal’s entry into the First World War and, next to Rua dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra, the artist tried to represent this sad episode in our history and pay a small tribute to all those who lost their lives there;

– The third represents that part of the city, known as Relvão. The name comes from a long time ago, when the then village was still very small, with no houses in that area, being a very swampy and green area, with few trees and most of them dead. To give this painting a little more color and since “ballooning” also visits the city from time to time, the artist placed a hot air balloon;

– On the opposite wall was painted what is one of the main symbols of the city of Ponte de Sor and which gives it its name: the bridge. He painted the poplars in the background and insisted on placing the 300-year-old cedar (it was said) that had to be cut when the bridge was widened and that it was right next to the fountain.

There, there was still space to paint Magali, who is a French bulldog who lives in the same house where the painting was done.

Kahnysh

Bio – PT

Pedro Miguel Pereira, nasceu em 1979 e vive em Ponte de Sor. É conhecido entre os amigos por Caniche daí assinar alguns dos seus trabalhos por Kahnysh.

Não sabe precisar quando começou o seu gosto pelas artes, apenas se lembra que começou a fazer os seus primeiros desenhos no início dos anos 90, sempre a preto e branco. Recorda-se como um autodidata.

No Ensino Secundário em Ponte de Sor, como não havia curso de artes, optou por estudar eletricidade, tenho continuado sempre a desenhar nos seus tempos livres.

Muito mais tarde, surgiu a oportunidade de fazer alguns murais em giz num bar da cidade, tendo aí começado a usar cor nos seus trabalhos. Também fez outros murais, mas ainda usando pincéis.

Em 2016 foi-lhe pedido para pintar um quarto de criança em aerografia, técnica que desconhecia por completo, não existindo muita gente em Portugal a praticá-la. No entanto, decidiu-se a aprender mais sobre ela.

O tema da pintura era a Disney e deixou bastante satisfeitos os donos da casa, tendo tido bastante sucesso na sua página de facebook.

Até hoje já fez cerca de 20 pinturas em toda a cidade, em quartos, tanto de criança como adultos e também em alguns estabelecimentos.

Considera a pintura um hobby e lamenta não conseguir fazer tantas obras quanto gostaria.

Pedro Miguel Pereira, was born in 1979 and lives in Ponte de Sor. He is known among his friends for Caniche, therefore signing some of his works as Kahnysh.

He doesn’t know exactly when his taste for the arts started, he just remembers that he started making his first drawings in the early 90’s, always in black and white. He remembers himself as a self-taught person.

In secondary school in Ponte de Sor, as there was no art course, he chose to study electricity, but he always continued to draw in his spare time.

Much later, the opportunity arose to make some murals in chalk in a bar in the city, having started to use color in his works there. He also made other murals, but still using brushes.

In 2016 he was asked to paint a child’s room in airbrushing, a technique he was completely unaware of, and not many people in Portugal were practicing it. However, it was decided to learn more about it.

The theme of the painting was Disney and left the owners of the house very satisfied, having been very successful on his facebook page.

To date, he has done around 20 paintings throughout the city, in rooms, both for children and adults and also in some establishments.

He considers painting a hobby and regrets not being able to do as many works as he would like.
